Impressions From Great Falls

1. My eyes follow along the gray grooves in the stone.
2. My fingertips follow.
3. A visual marker for the passage of time.
4. Jagged...
5. Look down and fill your soul.
6. Look up and breathe deeper.
7. Balance and traction are key.
8. Perfectly imperfect.
9. So much power.
10. Shadow play.
11. I watched the water flow for a long, long while.
12. Still, reflecting...
13. Call me crazy, but I couldn't resist scampering across this fallen log!
14. Just kidding ;)  Safe and sound, high and dry from my perch.
15. They are not kidding. And I have the bruises to prove it.

Work(s) in Progress...

Dip the brush deep…
Water seeps in between fingers who guide the brush to glide easy.
Paint meets thirsty parchment which sucks it up
Swollen…
Fibers are unforgiving.

As are Deadlines…

So…I turn up the music, breathe deeper and…. focus.

This, What Languid Looks Like...

Languid_lowres

Trace a path through canyon or chasm
Wind your way along lake's edge
It's a slow descent into lazy haze of August.
Joyfully lost
I linger
Melting…
This, what languid looks like.

This post is proudly shared at  dVerse Poets Pub~ a rather cool place where poets and writers mingle and mix. And although I consider myself less poet and more painter who happens to love words, this one felt right to share in that special place.  Do check them out.
