I love it when your mind wears the colors of the soul. I understand the fact our supreme master has created us with love, passion and sweet beauty; and I am sure he must have invisioned all this beauty and colors exctly the same way as he sometime let his few choosen one to replicate his master piece :) i woudl title it "healing touch" :)

Lovely piece, Shell...hands as the expression of the heart. Have always found people's hands and the energy in them to be their most revealing feature, almost a portrait of their soul.

The left, the emotional, the one you must not use for greeting, for shaking hands - because the left side is too personal, not presentable: to be educated away until an acceptable format is left? Healing the schism between left and right: "I feel and touch just like the other hand", says the left.

I am a Leftie, but the reason I am drawn to this, is because it does just that-- my eyes don't want to leave- I like it here-- the beautiful hand is both solid and flowing, and my mind sees the hand holding different stories ( like what gets generated from thoughts arising from a tarot card view). And the hand itself has stories to tell in its position and the beneath- the-surface colors and forms.
I will return to enjoy the beauty and mystery of this one.

Is it an accident that the palm of the hand is cool and inviting, a brookside grotto inviting us in to rest and listen to the water burbling past? Is it an accident that the index finger knuckle suggests an eye awakening a children's book character from the hand, index finger and thumb? Is it an accident that the fingers and their shadows echo the sensuous Rubenesque topography of a woman's legs and posterior? Yes. Accidents. Just as the grotto feels safe and calm, like sitting in the earth's gentle hand. Just as the improvised puppet inspires a child's laughter and imagination despite being "just your hand". Just as the nude napping in early evening light suggests cupped fingers, a shadowy hand gathering sheets. Thanks for these accidents, Shell.
